Hey Everyone!

Welcome back to another EXCLUSIVE. I just want to say thank you to those who have joined us over at FFC recently!

Anyway, as part of your UCL Fantasy newsletters I will be revealing my own thoughts, on deadline day and this is the only place you will access them. After all, it’s what gives the newsletter an edge.

We now just have three rounds until the campaign is over which means we also have little time to gain rank. So, I’m going to talk through the DO’s and DON’T’s when trying to gain rank this week.

If you didn’t know by now picking differentials are key to gaining rank. One of my DO’s for Matchday 11 is to buy 2-3 differentials, because one differential just isn’t enough to make a huge gain, unless you get very lucky.

One of the many differentials I think we should look at this week is Joshua Kimmich. Kimmich is well over 10% in terms of ownership but that number is much lower amongst the top players like yourself.

Kimmich ranks above every other player for total successful crosses, total free kicks taken and total corners taken. He also scored the winner in his most recent UCL match against Arsenal so has multiple routes to points.

PSG midfielder Vitinha could be another good differential. The template will very likely opt for Dortmund midfielders this week so Vitinha will almost certainly go un-noticed on the Wednesday.

Although playing in central midfield, Vitinha loves to advance forward. It isn’t just chance he has scored in back-to-back Champions League matches either.

A lot of manager are also bringing in the likes of Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior, and rightly so. But as you’ll see in that isn’t a wise play.

Instead, those who are trying to gain rank should opt for Federico Valverde. Valverde is a clutch player who can turn up at any given moment. He proved this with his wonder goal recently against Manchester City. Valverde also registered three assists in one of his recent games.

Captaincy

Another DO when looking to gain rank is captaincy. The chances are that every man and his dog are going to captain Harry Kane at home this week. If you are looking to gain rank then captaining him is a DONT! Definitely don’t captain him, it wont gain you any rank at all.

Jude Bellingham or Vinicius Junior is the way to go for captaincy. Both will go under the radar for captaincy.

Alternatively, you could even captain Leroy Sane, Jamal Musiala or Federico Valverde. If Kane blanks and any of these players do well you are likely to fly up the rankings.

Collective Differentials

Collective differentials can be one of the best ways to gain rank in this game. DON’T think that buying Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham this week is a collective differential because it isn’t.

A good example of a collective differential this week would be backing Bayern double or triple defence. UCL Fantasy managers are likely to own one Bayern defender max so if the German side keep a clean sheet and you own 2-3 then your rank will increase dramatically!

Double PSG defence could also be a massive differential this week. Most are opting for Dortmund attackers so backing the PSG defence is hugely different. Similar to Bayern, if PSG keep a clean sheet then you could rocket ahead.

Buying bulk Real Madrid or Dortmund defence could also be differential, less so than the above but still enough to gain rank if any of them keep a clean sheet.

The above aren’t exactly very appealing. In fact, you will find it extremely difficult to bring yourself to action any of them. But they are necessary if you want to gain an edge.

Good luck this week!
