What to do with Haaland?

Haaland is a huge topic this week and one that I seem to be continuously involved with.

It’s safe to say Manchester City have not been at their best recently. This in turn or as a result of seems to be having some sort of negative impact on Haaland.

The Norwegian has netted just one goal in his last five league matches which is obviously a huge concern. But we also have to take into account that he recently scored twice in Matchday 3.

My view on it seems to be pretty much the same every time I think about it. If you are using a Limitless chip this week then I think you could chance it without him. But, for those with a Wildcard or transfers then I think you have to leave him in. Not only is he a very good captaincy option on any Matchday moving forward but he is also one of the most explosive fantasy assets I have ever witnessed.

Haaland may be out of form, but one brace or one hattrick could mean massive damage to both your rank and mini-league position. I am very much in the keep Haaland camp.

The Best Barcelona Triple up

Barcelona are in my view one of the best teams you can invest in this week. I think it’s fair to say that whichever players you choose from them, could be easily out performed by teammates you down own.

However, the Catalans are averaging around 3.3 goals scored per game in both La Liga and in the Champions League. They also face a Crvena Zvezda side who rank joint worst in the current League Phase for goals conceded. For me, based on this, points me in a very specific direction.

The triple attack looks very nice ahead of Matchday 4. Albeit, there is a lack of defensive options this week and one of their defenders could be ideal, but losing 6 points compared to a double digit haul doesn’t seem like a fair trade off, take Raphinha’s recent 20+ pointer for example, imagine missing out on something like that?

Based on that my preferred triple up is Raphinha who seems to be in unstoppable form at the moment, Robert Lewandowski who leads the attack, takes penalties and is in fine form this season in general, and Dani Olmo who recently bagged a brace upon his return from injury.

Which chip should I use?

I think it could be a good week to use any chip to be honest. Honestly, every Matchday has seemed like an ideal time to use a chip.

However, my personal preference would be the wildcard. With all of big teams performing well I think we could well see carnage in Matchday 8. For that reason I think saving the Limitless for then could still be ideal.

The Wildcard can of course do a similar job but taking into account that a lot of the best options are playing in tough matches this week, and that the Limitless could take advantage of lots of pricey players in Matchday 8, I just think saving it until then would be better.

The Wildcard can also do a lot of great things this week. In fact, a wildcard could help pick out the best Barcelona triple up, invest in Bayern players long-term and move away from players like Victor Gyökeres, current goalkeepers if unconvincing (like mine) and much more.
