Before we take a look at some of our fantastic articles for Matchday 13, international fantasy football whizz @FPLReaction reveals Top 5 Must-have players!

Hey guys, what a nightmare Matchday 13 is shaping up to be, don’t worry though, because all of our articles are up to date with the latest injuries! Before we get to them, I’ll be picking out my Top 5 must own players for the next round.

So, I think there’s 5 players you have to own this week:

Raphinha

I seriously worry for Dortmund. The German side have been massively inconsistent and I think they could be in trouble this week.

The Catalans have been exceptional this season, and offensively their a must. Of their players, everything just seems to be falling into place for Raphinha, everything he touches turns to gold. For me, he is the most essential player in the game right now!

Lewandowski

Raphinha is of course essential, but I also think Lewandowski is too. Raphinha has taken a lot of the spotlight this season in Europe, and that is fine, but nine goals from 10 matches isn’t exactly poor from the Pole.

On paper, Lewandowski is more likely to return than his Brazilian teammate. As well as taking penalties for his side, he also leads the frontline, so positionally is the most advanced. Don’t be surprised if he braces this week.

Lamine Yamal

Doubling up on the Barcelona attack is just simply not enough in my opinion. The Spanish side have mounds of quality in all areas of attack, and whilst both Raphinha and Lewandowski are arguably more essential, I think Lamine Yamal should be a consideration.

For me, Yamal is the definition of a big-game player. I watched him in the Euros bank a return in the quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final to help gift Spain the trophy. The 17-year-old seems to thrive in significant fixtures and he also goes into the week off the back of securing a 12-point return in Matchday 12.

Ousmane Dembele

PSG arguably have the best fixture on paper this week, so UCL Fantasy managers have to bulk up on their assets in my opinion.

The French side were fantastic up to Matchday 11, and their matches against Liverpool in 12 and 13 show me that they are a serious side, one that could go all of the way.

With the above in mind and the fact they face a ropey Aston Villa defence, Ousmane Dembele, for me, is an absolute must.

Achraf Hakimi

Its a tricky week for defenders, most of the best ones are either injured, a rotation risk or play for side unlikely to keep a clean sheet this week.

The above makes Achraf Hakimi a must in my opinion. The PSG full-back has produced 10+ attacking returns in the French League alone, showing that he can offer up multiple routes to points.

If the clean sheet isn’t there for Hakimi, he could well score or assist, and with a home match against Aston Villa, leaving him out could be problematic.
