Gameweek 29 Best Free Hit
Using the PLANFPL website and its fantastic tools, we present the Gameweek 29 best free hit team:

Goalkeepers
This week Nottingham Forest face an Ipswich side who rank among the three worst sides in the league for total goals scored this season. Meanwhile Forest joint lead the way with Liverpool for total clean sheets. With that in mind, and the lack of attacking threat from the defender picks, Matz Sels (£5m) joins the starting XI.
Backing up Sels in the unlikely event he fails to feature is West Ham’ Alphonse Areola (£4.2m).
Defence
Although ropey themselves defensively, Wolves come up against Southampton this week, who statistically have the worst frontline in the league. The best route into their backline is Rayan Ait-Nouri (£4.8m). The Algerian ranks joint second best among defenders for total attacking returns up to now.
Arsenal have the best defence thus far this season according to metrics like total goals conceded, total big chances conceded and total shots in the box conceded. Against an unconvincing Chelsea next, Gabriel (£6.3m) remains a great option.
Manchester City have been well below their usual standards so far, but this week they face Brighton at home. Arguably their standout defender is Josko Gvardiol (£5.9m), who sits above every other defender in the game for expected goals.
On the bench and unlikely to feature is Bournemouth’ Milos Kerkez (£5.1m) and Manchester United Diogo Dalot (£5m).
Midfield
Brentford face a recently ropey Bournemouth defence, and the Bees go into the game sitting among the top six sides for total goals scored thus far this campaign. Their standout attacker is of course penalty taker Bryan Mbeumo (£8.1m).
Bournemouth may not be as defensively sound as many would desire, but they can be a major attacking threat. The Cherries face a Brentford side who rank second worst in the league for shots in the box conceded, which could mean potential for the penalty taker and the in-form Justin Kluivert (£6.1m).
Manchester United may be inconsistent but they face the second worst defence for total goals conceded. Penalty taker Bruno Fernandes (£8.3m) heads into the game having managed at least nine points in every one of his previous three matches.
Only Southampton have conceded more big chances than Ipswich this season, which highlights them as a team to target this week. One member we can pick in the Nottingham Forest attack is maestro Morgan Gibbs-White (£6.5m), who has produced a huge six returns in his last five matches.
Completing the midfield this week is Jarrod Bowen (£7.5m). Everton may have improved under their new manager, but they have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their previous five. This could be a great opportunity for their star man. Bowen has both scored and assisted during his last three games.
Forwards
Proving to be one of the best assets in the game this season, after scoring a massive 18 goals already is Chris Wood (£7.3m). The Nottingham Forest penalty taker has been excellent, and takes his incredible run into a meeting with a poor Ipswich backline.
Although inconsistent, Manchester City still rank joint third for total goals scored. Spearheading their attack is of course penalty taker Erling Haaland (£14.7m). The Norwegian has returned at least once in five of his last six outings, so goes into the game in solid form.
On the bench and coming on if any of our starting XI do not feature is Everton’ Norberto Beto (£5.1m). With five goals and assists in his latest six league games. Beto could be an excellent option off the bench if needed.
