I ended GW14 on 79 points, which was good enough for another sizeable green arrow.

I’m tempted to bring Trent Alexander-Arnold back in for GW15, with the England fullback top of the league for NPxGI among defenders (3.96 across all matches this season) and Liverpool continuing to dominate defensively. He’s also a relative differential following his injury and should see consistent minutes with Connor Bradley out until the New Year.

Alexander-Arnold could come in for Rayan Aït-Nouri, who has been poor since coming into my team in GW11. However, I’m £0.2 million short of being able to make the switch in one move, so will need to free up funds elsewhere.

Bryan Mbeumo has struggled in recent weeks and is most likely to make way, particularly given Brentford’s upcoming fixture run, with Anthony Gordon and Antoine Semenyo top of my list of replacements. While I only transferred Semenyo out a couple of weeks ago, he would enable me to keep funds in reserve should I decide to bring in either Alexander Isak or Nicholas Jackson.

In terms of my starting XI, it’s a coin toss between Łukasz Fabiański and Mark Flekken in goal this week. I’ve currently sided with Flekken purely because he plays at home, but both Brentford and West Ham look like hot messes defensively.

In defence, Alexander-Arnold will partner Gabriel and GW14 goalscorer Jurrien Timber. The returning Jacob Greaves will come in should Gabriel miss out once again.

Gordon or Semenyo will be my only change in midfield, with Mohamed Salah, Bukayo Saka, Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers all keeping their place. There’s a chance Rogers is rotated but I don’t mind playing Dominic Solanke if I need to given Chelsea’s defensive frailties. Mohamed Salah looks like he can’t stop scoring at the moment and takes the captaincy ahead of Palmer this week.

Upfront, João Pedro and Jørgen Strand Larsen will lead the line given their favourable fixtures.
