Blank Gameweek Announcement

Yesterday the Premier League have announced that there will be two blank gameweeks in the first half of the season.

Luton and Burnley will blank in Gameweek 2. This is because Luton can’t guarantee that their stadium will be ready to host the fixture. Kenilworth Road is having upgrades ready for Luton’s first season in the Premier League.

So far the Premier League have not issued a new date for the match.

The statement also confirmed that Man City and Brentford will blank in Gameweek 18. This is due to Man City’s involvement in the Club World Cup after their Champions League win.

Today the Premier League have issued a blank gameweek announcement. Burnley and Luton will blank in GW2, Brentford and Man City in GW18.
