Hey Guys!

We have arrived at the quarter-finals so there are just eight teams to focus on this week and you can see the fixtures as follows:

Transfers are going to be super important this week. Captaincy has become a major problem for me so making sure I get that right this week is going to be key.

Captaincy and transfers should go hand this week. For me you have to figure out who you think is the best captain on both days, whether you own them or not, and use your free transfers to bring them in. I personally think that is more important than replacing players who have exited the competition.

When it comes down to captaincy on Friday I think the standout player is Jamal Musiala. Musiala is one of the most in-from attackers in the tournament so far and plays for the hosts which is an added bonus. It may also be worth highlighting that no other side in the EURO’ have scored more goals than Germany so far.

With the above in mind, not only should Musiala be a transfer in but also captain.

For those that really can’t get to Musiala then I probably wouldn’t back a Spain attacker due to minutes. Instead, I think defenders seem to be performing better than attackers overall so far.

The France and Portugal game is likely to be low scoring so I really like Jules Kounde as a captaincy option. The attackers have been lacking and Kounde has both clean sheet potential, ball recovery potential and assist potential (he ranks above every other defender for chances created so far).

Captaincy on the final day is also really important. I personally believe that England v Switzerland will be tight and could effectively go either way which isn’t ideal for captaincy.

Because of that, Türkiye’ woeful defending and how good Netherlands are offensively it should be one of their strikers you look to. I think bringing in Cody Gakpo, one of the most in-form attackers in the tournament, for captaincy could be the clever play.

Memphis Depay could also be a good option for the armband. As frustrating as he can be he still takes set pieces, and ranks above most other players in the game for total big chances and shots in the box.

To conclude I think Jamal Musiala and Cody Gakpo are the best options this week.

How many points should we stick on?

The question above is something many of us will be asking ourselves. With only two days to bag a significant captaincy return this week it could be wise to stick with just one return (5-6 points).
